Update: I spoke with another customer of this vendor and they stated they also received fraudulent charges on their credit card after receiving services. If I could rate them with a zero, I would. On the 16th, TJ's Plumbing came to my house. There were two guys and they'd come over before to help with the same issue. Our basement drain was backing up. I assumed it was because my kids are preteens and do all sorts of weird kid things. But the problem kept growing and growing until I ended up spending $950. The techs were super nice, but they had to make multiple trips to drive somewhere. It took them two hours just to figure out what the problem was and another hour to fix it, then they disappeared for about another hour. It definitely seemed like they were milking the clock. I price checked their services with some other vendors. The cheapest I found was AAA Sewer at $325. But at that point it was too late. So I called them and asked if there was anything they could do about the bill. I wasn't upset, but I shared that I felt I had been taken advantage of. The manager was really rude, so I told him that I would likely post about his awful customer service online. We spoke again the next day and he said he would issue a refund for $200 because of my complaint that I felt the techs were taking their time. But then on Monday, after I gave my card information over the phone, they emailed me a paper asking for a signature. I didn't receive the refund. They emailed me to say that they wanted to speak with me first. At this point, I had to cancel my card because someone tried to make unauthorized charges and I was getting very concerned. After following up, they emailed me on Friday (day after thanksgiving) to say that no refund was issued but my card number was locked up. I spoke with them today and the manager was very rude. He told me he could not issue the refund because he was afraid I would post about my experience online. He even asked if he could come over to my home and talk to me (creepy!). There are of course more details, but that's about the gist of it. I am pretty frustrated and concerned about the entire thing. So I'm letting all of you know before you hire them for plumbing. There are less expensive companies with better customer service.
